We have received many questions about online exams in the past few days! We would like to address two common problems here:

Problem: In my Zoom account my private mail address is displayed. Therefore, I am not sure if I have a RWTH license and can take the exam.
Solution: You can check yourself if it is a RWTH license: You open Zoom in the browser and click on “Profile”. There you should see “Meeting: 300” under “License type”. In the “Account profile”, the “Account name” must also say “Center for Teaching and Learning Services”. If there are other details, get your RWTH-Zoom license as described here: asta.ac/zoom

Problem: When logging into Zoom via Single Sign On (SSO), an error message appears.
Solution: Mostly this problem occurs when the email address has been changed in the Selfservice of the RWTH Identity Management. Send an email to video@cls.rwth-aachen.de and specify the two email addresses: the one that was stored in RWTH Identity Management before the change and the current one. The CLS will then delete the “old” email address, which fixes the problem and you can log in to Zoom via SSO without any problems. Meetings and the like that have already been created will be lost. To avoid this problem, we can only recommend not to change your mail address in IdM during the exam period!

If you have any questions about digital exams, you can always contact the CLS team:
