What is the CoCo learning space
The AStA manages a modern coworking space for you in the Kármán Auditorium called CoCo-Lernraum. This is the room in the connecting corridor on the second floor between German Studies and the auditorium. The group learning room is optimally equipped to enable student groups to learn together and can also be used by RWTH student councils and initiatives for their project work. The room offers a total of 24 workstations, spread over four conference tables, which are equipped with extensive technical equipment (document cameras, conference screens). There is also a sofa corner as a quiet area.
How does the booking work?
The CoCo study room can be booked from Monday to Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on request to the AStA. The booking period is divided into two time slots.
- Morning: 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- Afternoon: 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
You can see here whoch slots are still free. In order to give as many students as possible the opportunity to use the CoCo learning room, only one time slot can usually be booked at a time. Bookings should be made via Pretix at least three days before use.
What needs to be considered?
The room booking must be made by a person who is willing to take responsibility for the room during this time. After booking the room, you will receive a room allocation contract from us, which must be signed and returned to coco-lernraum@asta.rwth-aachen.de unsolicited and at least 24 hours before the period of use. Once this has been done, the key to the CoCo learning room can be picked up in person by the tenant at the Hochschulwache (Templergraben 55; 52062 Aachen) as early as possible 15 minutes before the start of the agreed period of use upon presentation of the signed room allocation contract. Together with the key, you will receive a checklist on the (technical) condition of the CoCo study room, which must be completed at the beginning of the period of use and returned to the Hochschulwache together with the key at the end.
To ensure that the CoCo study room is a meaningful and long-term enrichment for our campus, we ask that you leave the room clean and tidy after use, handle the (technical) equipment with care and really use it for group work. Persons who willfully violate these guidelines may be excluded from using the room!
