Starting your studies at RWTH Aachen can be exciting but also challenging – especially for international students. That’s where the Peer Success Coaching Program comes in! Designed to help international first-year students, especially those in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, the program offers support through Welcome Week, Freshers’ Week, and beyond.
What’s on offer this winter semester (2024/25):
Peer Success Companions: Our Peer Coaches guided the international Newcomers through the Welcome Week and Freshers’ Week, showing them the must-attend events and helping them connect with fellow students.
Learn2Study Tutorials: Weekly group tutorials for first-year Mechanical and Electrical Engineering students, helping them navigate the German education system, manage their studies, and balance university life. Plus, the tutorials help meet new friends and enjoy group activities like a visit to the Christmas market! The tutorial dates and times will be announced via our Moodle-Room.
Milestone Information Events: Open to all international first-year students, these events provide key insights on how to manage the first semester and stay on top of important deadlines.
Peer-to-Peer Counseling (P2P Troubleshooting): If you need individual advice, our Peer Coaches are available for one-on-one sessions – whether online, by phone, or in person. They’ll help you with everything from organizing your timetable to finding the right courses.
For students in other faculties, the Peer Success Coaching Program still offers valuable resources such as the Peer-to-Peer Counseling and the Milestone Information Events.
