For the student body’s gender equality project as a male gender equality project officer
Are you interested in gender equality work at your university and are you sensitive to gender policy issues? Would you like to take action against discrimination and help the RWTH advance gender equality issues? Would you like to work in a team to provide advice and implement your own ideas for campaigns and events?
Then apply for the equality project set up by the RWTH student parliament! A position is being advertised for which all RWTH students who identify as male can apply.
Your tasks as Equal Opportunities Project Officer
- Trusted point of contact for all students, student initiatives and institutions of the student body on gender equality issues
- Management of the equal opportunities project team
- Promotion and public relations work for the equal opportunities project
- Representing the interests of students, especially vis-à-vis the university
- Organization of events
What should you bring with you?
- Interest in helping your fellow students
- Interest in delving deeper into the topics of gender and diversity in particular
- Communication and assertiveness skill
- Discretion in dealing with information from those seeking help
- Sensitivity and empathy
- Creativity
- business fluent in German, fluent in English
- Approx. 15 hours per week
- Availability after the election for one year (until October 2025)
What can you expect?
The two student equal opportunities project officers jointly lead a team of other volunteers. You will work on the premises of the AStA and therefore also in close cooperation with it. This offers you many opportunities to implement your own projects and ideas.The Equal Opportunities Project Officers are accountable to the Student Parliament. This means that you must be present at the meetings of the student parliament during the lecture period and report on your work and answer questions.
For your voluntary work, you will receive an expense allowance of €427 and a workplace in the AStA offices.

The election of the Equal Opportunities Project Officer is scheduled for the meeting of the Student Parliament on 16.10.24.
