Der Allgemeine Studierendenausschuss (AStA)
The General Student Committee is the university-wide representative body for all students at RWTH Aachen University. We are elected annually by the student parliament. Our tasks consist of representing students in university policy towards the university, the state and the public, managing the financial resources of the student body, advising on various social and student issues, organizing a cultural program and political education.
Unsere Aufgaben sind auf sogenannte Referate aufgeteilt, die du dir wie Ministerien vorstellen kannst die jeweils aus zwischen 5 und 15 Leuten bestehen und von den entsprechenden Referent*innen geleitet werden.
Wir arbeiten dabei mit vielen anderen studentischen Gruppen und Organisationen zusammen, wie den Fachschaften, dem Gleichstellungsprojekt der Studierendenschaft, den studentischen Senator*innen, der Ausländer*innenvertretung (AV) oder den zahlreichen studentischen Eigeninitiativen und Vereinen.
